Yesterday we took a group outing to Bronxville to buy groceries. We ended up going all over town (which consists of like two blocks). We found this neat coffee shop called Slave to the Grind, it was VERY tasty.

Here are pictures of Bronxville, it is pretty much a tiny, cute, expensive town for old retired people.

The middle picture is Glenna, Emily and I.

Last night my whole house cooked spaghetti together and had a nice family dinner. After, a bunch of us who were willing to blow off homework went to see the movie UP in the film screening room in Resigner. Of course UP is like the best movie ever... And it was so great to laugh and cry and add our own commentary to the movie.

Doug, the dog in the movie, made me miss my own puppies.

100_0932This is Emily, me and Odette before UP!

This morning I had my first french conference... My teacher played this video... And danced around the room.

You gotta love SLC. And the 1960s.

It is about time for another list...

15 things that make me terribly happy.

I kicked the weekend off with a trip to Manhattan where I met up with Katie at Canal Street! We did a little shopping and walked around in the rain. We hit up China town and bargained with all the little Chinese women. It was so much fun and I got some great stuff!

We met up with one of Katie's friends from Barnard and went to the University Diner.

100_0889Needless to say we arrived looking like wet dogs.

100_0890After dinner we went to the magical Crumbs. It was so yummy in my tummy... and talk about rich!

Yay for cuppies! I have to take Jayme here!

Then we road the Staten Island Ferry back to Wagner college where I met all of Katie's friends and saw her tiny dorm room.

The next morning we woke up really late and ate lunch in her cafeteria... they don't have anything on Bates.

Then we road the Ferry back to go to Manhattan with her cool roomie Veronica.

We took the subway all the way in to Columbia territory and found a precious little street fair!

100_0927They had all kinds of cool things for really cheap!

100_0929We indulged in all the food. I got a banana chocolate crepe and an amazing thai tea!

100_0931It was a great weekend of true NYC fun!

Here are two polaroids I took on our little excursion.

Today we toured the gym and signed up for weekly workouts and classes. All the classes were full so I am just doing the weekly workout thing which will be fun!

After lunch, in the most crowded lunch room on the East coast, I got this lovely button.

Today has been a lazy day because I don't have class on Thursdays.

100_0887This is a beautiful picture I colored at the Christian Union meeting of Jesus giving bread to a kid. I thought it was so funny that they even had us color pictures that I signed my name like a little kid and gave it to Nour as a joke. She proceeded to post it on her door for all to see.

Today it is really cold here.

I just got off the phone with Emma chatting about what we were going to do when they come up for Thanksgiving! I am so excited! Today is a good day. I am going to get back to reading for my class.

Today I had my psych class in the morning and the rest of the day was home free.

Here are some pictures of dinner out by Bates.

We bought tupper wear today to jack extra food from Bates for our fridge.

Yesterday I went to Manhattan with a group touring the gay and lesbian sites in NYC!

100_0870Then I took the Metro all by myself to meet Katie for a show! This is us standing in line at TKTS getting tickets for a show!

100_0873And of course we had to get ice cream for dinner...

100_0875

100_0876100_0877... and cheese cake after the show.

We saw the Fantasticks... It was decent but not AMAZING. We were a little disappointed. And the theater was like trying to keep us from falling asleep by freezing us all out. I was so miserable. But good times all around! And I took the Metro all by myself around the city! And went home on the train alone! Yay for being a big girl!

This morning I had my first French class! It is going to be SO much work, but so far it is fun and I have already finished my hour long homework for today! I have a lecture class today at 3:30 that should be fun!

And I have to mention how jealous of Nour I am that she got a free ticket to the US Open in Manhattan. Jerk.
