We are hosting a Halloween party tomorrow night so there will
be pictures to follow! But, until then, here are some Halloween
pictures that include my mullet and my best friend, Jackson.

Oh the days when Halloween costumes required no planning, you could just put on
a leotard and pumpkin antennae (or a crown) and be good to go.

What a great weekend!
I spent Friday night at a banquet raising money for a safe house for sexually exploited girls in Ukraine with my friend Becca. I tried my first hand-made perogies and ate about twenty of them...

Last night a huge group of us went out to eat at Famoso, an amazing pizza place, and then went swing dancing! There was a drop in lesson where they teach you basic steps and then a full night of dancing to amazing big band music in a fun atmosphere! The best part is that they have it every week. You bet I am going to start going all the time.

I cannot express how much I love to dance.

From time to time I get greatly overwhelmed by the love of God.

I have been applying for summer internships in various urban ministry locations.
When reading about what some of these organizations do I am suddenly crying
because of the gravity of love I feel for these marginalized people...

The love that I feel for them is nothing compared to the love God feels for them.
May all of God's children be burdened to reach out to each other.

The summer that I spent in Haiti remains the best summer of my entire life.
I honestly would give anything to go back to that place with those people.

I pray that someday I will be there again... where my heart is home...
watching a Haitian sunset on a rooftop drinking coke out of glass bottles.

A few post from my summer in Haiti herehere and here.
