The thing I am most thankful for this Thanksgiving is my family. Being away from home makes me realize how truly blessed I am with an amazing family, despite our trials we have never loved each other more.

I am thankful for a great mom who doubles as my best friend and is always there for me.

I am thankful for a dad who is the smartest man I know and has always encouraged me to do my best.

And I am very thankful for a brother who loves me more than anything.

And I am thankful for a grammie who taught me what it really means to care for others your whole life long.

It is safe to say that I have had an amazing blessed life with amazing friends and family.

I am thankful for so many things this year. Including having my best friend, Jacki, here with me and eating cheez-its and drinking egg nog every night with her and not caring about the calorie count.

:)

What are you thankful for?

Katherine Whalen (a friend from home) came to visit Sarah Lawrence and stayed the night with me. Katie G (another friend from home that goes to college on Staten Island) and I took Katherine around the city for her first time! We had dinner at Alice's Tea Cup!

And we saw the musical "White Christmas" on Broadway. It was SO good.

DSCN0231After the show we "stage doored" which is where you wait outside the stage door to meet the actors. One of the main guys looked like Patrick Dempsey so we took a picture with him.

I loved having Katherine and Katie here this weekend! I miss Norman people. And boy do we know how to make each other laugh.

My class took a field trip to the bodies exhibit in Manhattan. It was way neat but I wouldn't see it again-- it was slightly disturbing. The bodies exhibit is a bunch of dead Asian prisoners that have been plasticized and stripped of their skin to show muscle and veins and how things work.

My mom, her friend Gayle, Nick, and Nikki came to Manhattan this weekend!

We had SO much fun. On Saturday we went to Union Square Market and met up with some people we knew and walked around and looked at all the amazing fresh foods! We shopped around a lot, met up with my cousin Jessica at Serendipity, and took a carriage ride! The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast at the Plaza! Yay for moms coming to visit, we rode in cabs the whole time, it was a whole new side of NYC!
