Basically my roommate blesses me with these wonderful mood lifters
daily via Facebook messaging)

When Andrew told me he had found a New Orleans
joint right here in Edmonton I was very skeptical.
What do Canadians know about my beloved cuisine anyway?
Well they actually know quite a bit...
I was super impressed by Da De O's down on Whyte.
The food was so delicious and the atmosphere
was just swell. I felt like I was back in the Big Easy.
What a great outing!
On Saturday Andrew and I went to an ice
sculpture festival called "Ice on Whyte."
(Whyte is a famous street in Edmonton)
We rode the 1912 trolley, drank hot chocolate, and
slid down ice slides! It was also the first big snow of the year,
which is very abnormal.
We ended the night at Remedy with some amazing chai.
(This picture is not edited, the sky was actually red that night)
There has been a lot of uproar around Facebook about the video that I have posted prior. If anything, I am glad people are beginning to notice how radical the name of Jesus is. But perhaps we should stop debating about videos such as these saying that “Jesus loves religion, man has just polluted what this really is” and start trying to prove to the world what religion (for lack of a better word) really is.
Why is it that our society is so out-spoken? We love to debate every little thing. But debating will never change anyone’s mind, if anything it just makes people more upset. There was a shout out on a friend’s Facebook today “True Christians, don’t believe this!” (in response to the video) Well let me say:
True Christians, be living proof of Jesus. There is nothing more we are called to than to BE JESUS in this world. Die to these arguments and go show people what true religion in the eyes of Jesus actually is.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” -James 1:27
So let’s go.
