This past weekend we had a little retreat with a few of
our Africa team members who live in Edmonton.
The weekend consisted of:
watching Blood Diamond, worship, sleep
overs, pancakes, African food, and a scavenger hunt!
On the scavenger hunt we went around to a bunch
of African businesses and had to buy things or
learn their national anthem or just make friends.
We were broken up into teams of three.
My team's favorite was the African soccer tournament
that we got to attend. We made tons of friends-- particularly
from Nigeria-- and even got to suit up and scrimmage.
Overall, the retreat was SUCH a blast and got
me even more excited to depart for a month in Africa
on Thursday!
