Yesterday we spent all day in the city shopping, walking around, etc!

100_1073These were some really cool guys in the subway singing in a barber shop style-- It was so good.

100_1085Nour loves comic books... And had a minor freak out when she saw this while on the phone with her little brother who also happens to love comic books...

100_1089Last night after Buffalo Exchange we went to St. Mark's Place.. Which is a sketchy bong selling, tattoo and body piercing, bar sceneish place. Emily got her ear pierced for very cheap in a really sketchy situation by a guy who may or may not have known what he was doing... Yes we went in to a tiny room with him... Aren't you glad I resisted the temptation to get a piercing (mom).

Late last night we met up with a bunch of friends for Lebanese food (Nour is from Lebanon). It was so freaking amazing and yummy and we had so many people there and were clogging up the restaurant. It was truly amazing but very expensive (worth it)!

Over all the night was amazing! As for today... It is raining and I am in my Happy Holidays pajamas eating peanut butter and drinking tea contemplating doing my French homework.

More city adventures tomorrow due to the four day weekend!

Have a great day!

On Friday night we had out first small group!! It was so much fun to get to hang out with a group of amazing girls and talk about life together. After small group at Zoe's we went to the pub to get food!

Due to the mass amounts of reading I have to do this week I will not be on Facebook or the blog for a week or so.

Cheers to a good week ahead and a four day weekend!!

Last night all the girls in Lynd were invited to Karen Lawrence's house, the president of SLC, for a nice dinner. It was so much fun and President Lawrence is so sweet and cute. She lives in the presidents house that was bought by the campus in the fourties but was built long before that. It is a pretty, HUGE english house with amazing hand crafted wood work. We had orderves in the sitting room and then moved into the dining room for a great dinner. It was SO fun to get to dress up and go to a nice dinner. The president was genuine and caring, learning all of our names and talking to us about our experience at SLC so far. It was great!

If you are wondering why we are at the president's house... It is a tradition for all first years to go eat dinner with her so she can get to know you and hear what improvements she needs to make on campus. Also our RAs get to come.. I am considering being an RA next semester just to be able to go again!

I love Sarah Lawrence College!

Dad--

Thank you for always believing in me and pushing me to be the best at whatever I do. Thank you for making me do my first audition, which we learned would be the first of many. Thank you for always taking me places when I couldn’t drive. Thank you for taking me to the movies and out for ice cream. Thank you for building us a tree house in the backyard. Thank you for teaching me how to drive a standard, and for getting me the best first car ever… Even though it had some major problems… Thank you for making me apply to Sarah Lawrence at the last minute, I was so scared I would be rejected I thought why even apply. And here I am. I will never forget when you brought my acceptance letter to the hair cutters because you were so excited. I will never forget how proud you were of me. You always knew I could do whatever I put my mind to. And thank you most of all for letting me find my own way, you never told me what to do or what to believe or even what time to be home, you always trusted my judgment. You are the best father anyone could ever have. I am so thankful for every moment we get to spend together. Thank you for being you, the most amazing daddy in the world… Not to mention that smartest person I know. So happy birthday dad. I love you.
