This weekend is a four day weekend!!
I began this wonderful break by watching Gigantic-- A great movie.
This is going to be good.
Happy fall!
On Friday night we had out first small group!! It was so much fun to get to hang out with a group of amazing girls and talk about life together. After small group at Zoe's we went to the pub to get food!
From left to right: Emily, Zoe, Ericka, Lauren, Maddy, Meredith, Theresa and me!
On Saturday night we had another fun CU event! We all got together and ate amazing pie and hung out and some people read excerpts from the book "Life of Pie."
Due to the mass amounts of reading I have to do this week I will not be on Facebook or the blog for a week or so.
Cheers to a good week ahead and a four day weekend!!
Last night all the girls in Lynd were invited to Karen Lawrence's house, the president of SLC, for a nice dinner. It was so much fun and President Lawrence is so sweet and cute. She lives in the presidents house that was bought by the campus in the fourties but was built long before that. It is a pretty, HUGE english house with amazing hand crafted wood work. We had orderves in the sitting room and then moved into the dining room for a great dinner. It was SO fun to get to dress up and go to a nice dinner. The president was genuine and caring, learning all of our names and talking to us about our experience at SLC so far. It was great!
If you are wondering why we are at the president's house... It is a tradition for all first years to go eat dinner with her so she can get to know you and hear what improvements she needs to make on campus. Also our RAs get to come.. I am considering being an RA next semester just to be able to go again!
I love Sarah Lawrence College!

Yesterday Elizabeth, Nour and I went in to the city to go shopping. We had so many fun adventures!
This is a polaroid I took outside Bates before we left.
My dream come true! A Cupcake truck!!
We went in to this grocery store for a snack called Dane and Deluca's. I found these beautiful cupcakes there.. I didn't buy any but they were very pretty!
That night we went to this amazing place on 72nd called Alice's Tea Cup with Gabby and Andrea, two of Nour's amazing friend's from Barnard. It is SO cute and yummy with good tea and scones and great meals as well. It is definitely one of my new favorites in Manhattan.
It was an amazing day with great people!!
Dad--
Thank you for always believing in me and pushing me to be the best at whatever I do. Thank you for making me do my first audition, which we learned would be the first of many. Thank you for always taking me places when I couldn’t drive. Thank you for taking me to the movies and out for ice cream. Thank you for building us a tree house in the backyard. Thank you for teaching me how to drive a standard, and for getting me the best first car ever… Even though it had some major problems… Thank you for making me apply to Sarah Lawrence at the last minute, I was so scared I would be rejected I thought why even apply. And here I am. I will never forget when you brought my acceptance letter to the hair cutters because you were so excited. I will never forget how proud you were of me. You always knew I could do whatever I put my mind to. And thank you most of all for letting me find my own way, you never told me what to do or what to believe or even what time to be home, you always trusted my judgment. You are the best father anyone could ever have. I am so thankful for every moment we get to spend together. Thank you for being you, the most amazing daddy in the world… Not to mention that smartest person I know. So happy birthday dad. I love you.
